Me too. can't wait... May! Go away!...Come on June!
.
I realize all other sites are reporting an A8, but i'm still annoyed at the iPad Mini 3 "hand me down" chipset decision, it's this reasoning that makes me weary of an A8 being used in the new ATV, which is to be honest not as popular seller as iPad Mini and is consider by Apple themselves a "Hobby".
.
I'm not sure about the remote. Apple could easily just add bluetooth and call it a day, relying instead on iOS devices for more advanced control.![]()
You mean Apple would force people into purchasing an iPhone to get all the best features? surely they wouldn't do that?? (*i'm looking at you Apple Watch ! ) ![]()
Yeh, I think the remote will be regular Bluetooth 2.1 EDR(data+audio) & will also work with all other iOS Devices, not just ATV, so that would be nice bonus.
Not sure on the Force Touch feature..it would be nice, just not that convinced it will make it,mainly because of cost...hope so. let's see
For shipping with a game controller , i'm leaning towards them not, like you say i think they will leave that to the 3rd Parties.
And to be honest.. Apple know nothing about making Game Controllers or Games, but on the live stream broadcast i want to see them demo a game being played with an MFi controller working on the new ATV.
Maybe it will go something like this:-
Phil Schiller:-
"And to demo the new ATV and Gaming, let's bring in our good friends "insert game dev here" and "insert hardware manufacturer here" playing their game on the big screen...Amazing.. thanks guys..
.
For the new ATV Appstore rumour, along with new TV content & channels ,they will include a "Games" section, this section will be "the list" of MFi Controller supported games Apple are keeping track of.
.
I'm gonna go for a "wild guess" at the price, based on the predicted specs. i reckon it will be under $200 i'm hoping for $149..
