Young, vibrant and talented are the words which best describe Nishka Lulla, daughter of ace fashion designer Neeta Lulla. Neeta Lulla is one of the finest fashion designers India has ever produced. Over a long and glorious career of more than 25 years, Neeta Lulla has been awarded National Awards for the Best Costume category as many as four times. Hence, it comes as no surprise that her daughter, Nishka Lulla, has imbibed the love for fashion from her mother.

Nishka, though, has always kept her mother as her inspiration yet is very clear about not wanting to imitate her mother’s sense of styling. Nishka says, “I have learnt a lot from my mother and one such thing is hard work. She said that you have to work hard to make your own mark. My designs need to have a definition of myself without imitating someone else. For instance, I can’t imitate my mother’s creation and make my own line.”

At a young age of 25, Nishka already has a clientele to boast about. Right from Kajol to Kareena Kapoor to Kalki Koechlin, actresses have been impressed by the young designer’s sense of style. Apart from designing clothes for some high profile celebrity occasions like Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s wedding to the very recent Esha and Ahana Deol wedding, this young lass also retails her designs from the online shopping portal http://www.perniaspopupshop.com/ where Nishka will be personally designing all the costumes.  This portal showcases some of the exclusive creations from this young and vibrant designer.

Some of the popular creations and designs by Nishka Lulla are:

Keeping the look simple and minimalistic, Nishka Lulla looks traditional yet stylish while posing with mother Neeta Lulla in a bright yellow and shocking silk pink saree  along with heavy jhumkas at the Namaste America event. Neeta Lulla, on the other hand, prefers to wear a heavy neckpiece matching her greenish purple saree.

Posing along with her mother at Esha Deol’s wedding at ISKCON temple, Nishka Lulla wears a silk saree and once again keeps the look minimalistic with gold jhumkas complementing the tone of the saree. To make the look more authentic Nishka accessorizes her hair with gajras(flowers). Neeta Lulla wears a bright orange and red saree with a gold choker necklace and jhumkas.

Actress Shilpa Shetty wearing a Nishka Lulla creation for Nach Baliye Season 6. While the saree is a bright saree with fluorescent orange, green and shocking pink shades, the blouse is a well-fit traditional kutch embroidered one. The oxidized bangles, fingerings and earrings complete the look perfectly.

Petite and delicate Genelia D’Souza looks traditional in this black and red anarkali suit with kutch embroidery. Accessories are kept to a minimum since the outfit is heavily embroidered.

The Reddy sisters look glamorous in Nishka Lulla creations at the Bridal Week. Sameera Reddy opted for a mid-length dress with a slit in the front paired with an organza jacket. She has perfectly coordinated the dress with a Bottega Venetian clutch and silver jewelry and matching pumps. Sushma Reddy opts for a simple yet elegant aquamarine sari. Since the saree is so graceful, accessories should be kept to a bare minimum.

Neha Dhupia looks uber chic in this off white sheer top and black trousers. The design of the outfit brings out the real Nishka Lulla’s style – bohemian and unconventional.

Kareena Kapoor looks ravishing in this traditional avatar designed by Niskha Lulla. A bright peach colored kameez with mirrow work is paired with a greenish blue floral Patiala salwar. The blue dupatta with a delicate peach border completes the look.
