There are a handful of subscription boxes focused on Metal. How are you differentiating yourselves in the competitive marketplace?
Subscribers to The Metalhead Box will always get a high quality T-Shirt, amazing CD’s from some killer Metal labels and bands, that alone is worth the box price. They can also expect exclusive items only available to The Metalhead Box customers, like autographs from Metal icons and artists, and big name products from companies such as Funko Pop. We have partnered with some of the best record labels, bands and companies to bring only the best items in every box. Other boxes we have noticed through our research offer, photocopied flyers, CDR discs, used old posters, T-Shirts from bands that are too easy to access (Slayer, Exodus, Over Kill etc…) there is nothing wrong with these bands. But we wanted to bring customers something rare and different. A box filled with many different items other than just a CD and a bunch of stickers, or a T-Shirt and some flyers or a bunch of merch from all the same band you might not really like. We take Metal very seriously, and so does our subscribers, and we understand that.
Can you share how you choose what products to ship each month? How do you find them?
As mentioned, we like to focus on working with awesome record labels, bands and companies to bring quality items to our subscribers. Building relationships with these companies allows us to offer new items just released, some rare and hard to find, and some items that are just extremely cool. We try to put all of this into every box.
Do you have any interesting expansion plans or new products on the horizon?
As a company in a growing and competitive market, we are always looking to expand our services and bring our subscribers what they desire. We have also launched a Metalhead Tee a month option, where subscribers can receive a wicked T-Shirt every month for only $14.99 per month, plus shipping.
