Roxey Ballet, the regional professional dance company of the Mill Ballet School, is set to present Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcacker.

Performances are scheduled for Nov. 30 – Dec. 8 at The College of New Jersey’s Kendall Theater.

In The Nutcracker, Clara and her friends take the audience on a journey to meet magical mice, giant rats, marching soldiers, swirling snowflakes, waltzing flowers and the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Audience members can expect a visit from Santa and his jolly friends during the performance.

More than 150 professional, pre-professional and local student dancers and actors make up the cast. The company draws on local talent from Lambertville, New Hope, Hopewell, Titusville, Lawrenceville, Ewing and Princeton.

The production is directed by Mark Roxey, director and co-founder of the Roxey Ballet.

Performances are scheduled for 3 p.m. Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 7 and 8; and 10 .m. Dec. 2.

Tickets prices range from $15 to $50.

The Roxey Ballet, based in Lambertville, is a world-class contemporary ballet company that uses dance to build community and cultural bridges. The company was incorporated in 1995 as a New Jersey non-profit organization and maintains a full schedule of local, national, and international touring.
