Gourmet food trucks are without a doubt the new black in Melbourne.

When it comes to dining trends, food trucks are killing it throughout our city and burbs, attracting a huge fan base of followers wherever they go. With the holidays in full swing, I thought I do a round up of some of our favourite food trucks which are parking their way around our beautiful city.

Below you’ll find picks from some of the Melbourne Girl team and other amazing Australian Bloggerati bloggers and team members.

The best Food Trucks in Melbourne

1. Mr Burger

Selected by Emily Collie (that’s me) – Editor, Melbourne Girl

Look out for the big orange trucks on the streets of Melbourne. They are parked at heaps of hot spots across Melbourne and new food truck locations are popping up all the time! My pick is their namesake ‘Mr Burger’!

2. Creme Brulee Cart

Selected by Lucy Allen – Contributing Writer, Melbourne Girl

My favourite bite has to be the signature vanilla creme brûlée with a raspberry on top… Simple but saaaa delish!

3. Toasta Food Truck

Selected by Tase Jaycobs Stefkov – Talent Manager, Bloggerati

Their toasted sandwiches are unparalleled! #iLoveToastaFoodTruck

4. Beatbox Kitchen

Selected by Rachel Devine – Sesame Ellis

Best BEST veggie burger in town is the mushroom burger from Beatbox Kitchen… I would chase that food truck down on foot to get another one of those burgers!

Where you’ll find some more of our favourites…

Welcome to Thornbury is the second largest beer garden and only permanent bar and food truck stop in Melbourne. Each month the site hosts 40 different food trucks rotating on a daily basis, with up to 6 trucks onsite at once. They also serve up a range of beers on tap, as well as craft beers and delicious cocktail jugs to share. You’ll find Welcome to Thornbury located at 520 High Street, Northcote.

Cintia from My Poppet Living also recommends Hank Marvin Market, a food truck park which has recently set up shop in Alma Park, St Kilda East. She is thrilled that South-siders no longer have to cross the river to get their little piece of street food action!
