No matter if you’re a fitness freak or occasional sprinter, well planned out running routes are an important aspect of well…running. I personally love a good run, but if I don’t have a good route to match the whole exercising thing becomes a bit of a chore, and nobody wants to do chores.
So, how do you keep the momentum going? How do you choose a route that’s going to keep you focused? How do you run in a city, say like…London? Well, it’s funny you should ask.
London is a pretty darn amazing place, and those lucky enough to live in the capital will also be lucky enough to complete their regularly fitness regimes in the presence of Big Ben, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and the Albert Hall to name a few. Let’s be honesty, you can’t buy that kind of motivation at your local gym.
With that in mind, I’ve gone on the hunt for some great running routes in London. These routes are perfect for taking in all the beauty of this city, whilst still burning off those dreaded calories we all love to hate.
Here are Superbreak’s top running locations – Let’s take a look at the options…

The Celeb Spotting Run
Richmond Park – 7.3miles
Rumour has it, that celebrities quite often chose Richmond Park to stretch their running legs. Imagine sharing your running route with the likes of Nell McAndrew and elite marathon runners from around the globe – that’s fitness inspiration by the bucket load! Also popular with us regular folk, Richmond Park is the ideal place to improve your running ability as well as taking in some beautiful city parkland greenery.
