I have had the pleasure of trying out Simple Solution 30-Day Super Absorbent Cat Litter
This litter claims:

Unlike the drab grey color of standard cat litter, Simple Solution cat litter is a more aesthetically-‐pleasing pink that brightens up the look of cat litter boxes. While most cat litters use bentonite clay, which clumps when wet without eliminating odors, the attapulgite clay used in Simple Solution cat litter is different: it absorbs 300 percent more liquid and is able to rejuvenate itself repeatedly while staying intact. In other words, its super absorbent properties keep it from clumping. As a result, cat owners never have to scoop out urine clumps.
Attapulgite clay also draws the smell and moisture from cat feces, leaving it dry and odorless in the box so it does not have to be scooped out so often. It also weighs less that bentonite clay litter, with 9 lbs of Simple Solution equaling the effectiveness of 14 lbs of conventional bentonite clumping litter.
We had never used a non-clumping litter before so I was very curious as to how It would work for us. Much to my surprise we are starting week 4 and the litter still smells fresh! I still scoop daily to get the poop out, and to stir the litter around. The litter does turn a darker pink where the cat has urinated but since it isn’t a clump, it is easily mixed back with the rest of the litter. I don’t think you have to “stir” it, but it happens when I am scooping out the poop anyway.
I like the scent of the litter, although people with sensitivities to perfume might have an issue. The scent doesn’t seem to bother the cats at all.
As soon as I added the litter to a clean litter box, Oliver wanted to check it out, within a few seconds he urinated. The other cats seemed to take to the new litter right away, but It took about a week for any of the cats to go poop in the litter box. We left the other two litter boxes with their regular litter so the cats had options. Now it seems the cats all prefer the litter box with the Simple Solution 30 day cat litter – maybe because it is softer, and absorbs the odors better than the other litter.
I have been completely satisfied with this litter and look forward to using this litter in the other litter boxes!
