I had heard of PB Crave brand peanut butter around the blogosphere for a while, but had not seen it in stores. A few months ago, I happened to see some of the flavors on the shelf of my local Wal-mart.  It was a little expensive, but I decided to try the Cookie Nookie flavor.  Cookie Nookie is described on the PB Crave website as a mouth-watering mix of chocolate chips, cookie dough flavor, wild honey and premium peanut butter.  It was delicious! It was a little sweet, but not overpowering.  I knew I wanted to try some of the other flavors the next time I was at Wal-mart.  Before I had the chance to get back to Wal-mart, I was offered an oppoutunity to review all 4 flavors of PB Crave for free!  Tony was already taking Cookie Nookie sandwiches to work for lunch, so I knew he would be eager to try the other flavors, as was I!

Besides Cookie Nookie, the other flavors are:

Razzle Dazzle: A twisted blend of red raspberry, wild honey, cool white chocolate and rich dreamy darkness.

CoCo Bananas: A tropical blend of yummy bananas, cocoa and wild honey.

Choco Choco: A delicious double dose of semi-sweet and rich dark chocolate with premium peanut butter and wild honey.

PB Craves story started when Curt Riess tried mixing peanut butter, raspberries and chocolate. He went from nearly 40 years of avoiding plain peanut butter, to eating peanut butter almost every day! Curt soon opened his own company that developed four unique flavors. The peanut butter is produced by Sweet Harvest Foods in Cannon Falls, MN — where they have focused on uncompromised quality, discriminating taste and unwavering integrity for nearly 100 years.

Their peanut butter may cost a little more, but trust me, it tastes a lot better than regular peanut butter, plus they inspect every jar by hand to ensure the quality is up to their standards — and to yours. Their peanut butter has actual chunks of premium Belgium chocolate and pure, natural MEL-O honey. In addition, a minimum of 2% of the profits from every jar of PB Crave peanut butter goes directly to Project Peanut Butter, a non-profit organization focused on treating malnourished children.

Tony and I don’t like bananas, but I tried the PB crave Coco Bananas anyway.  It definitely tasted like real bananas, and not a fake banana flavoring.  I ended up giving the jar to my father-in-law who loved it! He had never heard of PB crave before, and thought it was pretty neat that it was flavored! My favorite is the Razzle Dazzle. You don’t need any jam or jelly with this peanut butter – it has the perfect mix of fruit, and nut. I love how it actually has real raspberries in it, instead of raspberry “flavor”. The Coco Choco is also very good.  I was almost expecting it to be too chocolatey, but it actually has the perfect balance.  Much like the Cookie Nookie, it is sweet, without being overpowering. After trying them all, Tony’s favorite is still the Cookie Nookie.

I can’t wait for the holidays to get closer so I can start making some no-bake cookies, and using PB Crave peanut butter to give the cookies a little extra flavor!
