About Reclink

Reclink Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to provide and promote programs that increase social inclusion for disadvantaged Australians.

About the program

One of their current programs is the Pathways to Employment Project located at Caboolture Police-Citizens Youth Club (PCYC), Queensland. The program is funded and supported through the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative and offers participants of the program comprehensive pre-employment training.

The program has already engaged 40 trainees who are signed up with MEGT Apprenticeship Support Network and who have completed nationally recognised qualifications in either Certificate 1 Construction or Certificate 1 Conservation and Land Management. Participants have also completed Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways and Senior First Aid, as well as attaining OHS White Cards.  Participants have worked extremely hard to overcome challenges, learn a variety of new skills and graduate their traineeships.

These trainees are now work ready and eager to enter into ongoing full-time employment in a variety of related industries, including:

Process work

Horticulture

Land care

Hospitality

Electrical

Civil Construction

Pathways to Employment Open Day

Reclink’s upcoming open day has been developed and planned by participants of the Pathways project to give them the opportunity to meet potential new employers and showcase their skills and project outcomes.
