David Intersimone
David Intersimone (known to many as David I.) is a passionate and innovative software industry veteran-often referred to as a developer icon-who extols and educates the world on Embarcadero developer and database tools and runs the company's rampant online community. He shares his visions as an active member of the industry speaking circuit and is tapped as an expert source by the media. He is a long-standing champion of architects, developers and database professionals and works to ensure that their needs are folded into Embarcadero's strategic product plans. Before Embarcadero, David spent more than 20 years with Borland in various evangelism, engineering, and development capacities, including creating the company's developer relations program. He previously served as Director of Product Services for Softsel Computer Products Inc. (now Merisel). David holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, California.

Yoela is a project manager, designer, and founder on a variety of technical and creative projects in fields including mobile, application development, and marketing technologies.
At the age of 17, Yoela entered UC Berkeley and dove into Computer Science where she first gained interest in the mobile applications space leading to the opening of her first technology company, MyEnterprise Applications. After 3.5 years of growing a mobile development team that specialized in the creation of enterprise level applications for companies like Priceline and Groupon, MyEnterprise Applications was acquired by a top Israeli software engineering firm to grow their mobile department in the United States. Yoela's motto has always been to create products for the 22nd century that can continue to grow with the latest technology and innovation. Yoela's latest endeavor Baskit seeks to improve the online interaction between buyer and merchant at the shopping cart in order to reduce a major problem in the online retail industry called "shopping cart abandonment". With a diverse background in both web and mobile, Yoela continues to consult for major tech firms and startup companies in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Baskit aims to solve one the largest problems in online shopping called - cart abandonment. In 2012, the retail industry generated $3.2TT in revenue. Brick & Mortar produced $2.6TT (92%) while e-commerce accounted for $231B (8%). Various research papers and surveys estimate the online shopping cart abandonment rate between 66% and 75%, which lead to a $462B-$493B loss in revenue in 2012.
