Cliff Bellar
Medina resident Cliff Bellar has been named the Ohio’s Realtor of the Year. He was honored at the Ohio Association of Realtors’ 104th annual convention held this week in Cleveland.
The award is based on both professional achievements and service to the community.
Bellar served as president of the Medina County Board of Realtors in 2003. He also was chairman on a variety of the board’s committees, including its finance and legislative committees.
He was credited with helping create the board’s Commercial Committee and earning accreditation with the National Association of Realtors, as well as two national grants. He also created Medina Open for Business, an educational forum held annually in the fall.
On the state level, Bellar has served as a member of the Ohio Association of Realtors’ board of directors and as chair of the commercial/industrial committee and as a member of the legislative committee and Local Government and Legal Issues Forums.
Bellar also has been a civic leader. He has been involved with Medina’s Housing Network and Medina County Rebuilding Together, serving as its president of both organizations. Additionally, he helped connect the Medina County Board of Realtors’ housing and growth committee to partner for
Realtor Care Days in the community.
The Ohio Association of Realtors, with more than 27,000 members, is the largest professional trade association in Ohio.
Bellar was nominated by the Medina County Board of Realtors and is associated with RE/MAX Crossroads.
