William “Willy” T. Slentz, 63, of Brunswick Hills, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. He was the son of Charles and Annetta Slentz. He was born July 13, 1950 in Steubenville, Ohio.

He was a volunteer Firefighter for the city of Brunswick who also supported veterans and their various causes. Willy was on the Brunswick Hills Zoning Board and the Water Commission. He was in the Army and was a Vietnam Vet. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and son who loved his family.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 35 years, Denise (nee Bogdan); daughter, Deborah; and brother, Charles Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may join the family for visitation Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 1 to 4 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. A funeral service will be Monday, February 17, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
