Pharmaceutical Industry:
The type of industry which is involved in the production, development and marketing of licensed pharmaceutical products is termed as pharmaceutical industry. Different countries have different number of national and multinational pharmaceutical industries which meet medication demand.

It is the legal responsibility of a pharma industry to produce, manufacture and market only those products which are registered within the country.
In Pakistan there is huge development in pharma industrial sector after its independence in 1947. According to the National Drug Policy of Pakistan, there are 338 national and 30 multinational pharma industries which are working in Pakistan. This number could exceed defiantly due to registration of numerous pharma industries now.
