The "NYC Neighborhood Library Awards" nomination process gets underway today through December 18th.

Julie Sandorf, president of the Charles H. Revson Foundation, and Sarah Needham, program officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, talk about the awards and last year's winners Edwin Maxwell, manager of the New Lots branch of Brooklyn Public Library, and Robert Gibbs, manager of the NYPL's Stapleton branch on Staten Island, talk about the impact of the awards, plus the new 6+day schedules.

Nominate your local library on the form found here; on any of the three library systems’ homepages, or in person at your local branch. The nomination form is available in six languages: English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and Haitian Creole.
