How to Hang Christmas Lights with No Ladder – Growing up, I was the one who hung the lights. It was a passion. I was constantly telling my parents, “We need to go buy more lights.” If they had let me, I know I would have been the next Chevy Chase. I came up with my own simple hack when I was in high school that allowed me to hang all the lights without getting out a ladder. What I did was I hammered in two nails, shaped in a V formation, at the end of wooden rod. Hooks were already on our house. I would put the lights in the V part and then lift them to height and hook them on the house or the trees. A longer pole works for taller trees. This was my million dollar idea I wanted to make and sell with an extendable rod, but when I was just out of college I saw an extending rod selling in Lowes, and my dreams were crushed. I should have pursued it sooner. Here’s a link to what I wish I had created: 11′ Telescoping Christmas Tree Decorating Pole for Hanging Lights – Includes 40 Gutter Clips (Affiliate link added for your convenience).

I hope these 25+ clever Christmas hacks make your life easier this season. We want the holiday time to be less stressful for all, and finding solutions for the common Christmas problems should help do just that!
