Today I get to provide for you a Green Kid Crafts review and giveaway. What is Green Kid Crafts? These are pre-packaged and yet earth friendly discovery boxes and creativity or STEM science kids that work on a variety of developmental skills for kids age 3-10 years old. These boxes and kits can be purchased individually, or you can cut on costs by buying one of their subscription packages.

Are you ready for a variety of great experiences to be delivered right to your doorstep? Green Kid Crafts have creativity and STEM science kits for kids, but they also have discovery boxes and birthday party packages as well.  My kids and I really enjoyed our experience with the discovery box that was delivered to our home. We were able to explore the green energy box, which taught us a lot about the use of water, wind and solar energy. This one box came with three engaging activities. Not only does it provide you with the supplies you need, but it also has a little mini-lesson, so that your kids can really understand the topic. One component that I felt built into the integrity of “green crafts” is that within the project they re-use many of the elements of the packaging – including the box and the plastic bags inside that were housing the individual projects. These are all hands-on, award winning, and eco-friendly activities that kids will love. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the product both from an educational and a mom perspective. It takes all of the prep-work and thought involved in coming up with unique learning activities for kids. You should really check out Green Kid Crafts to understand all they have available. Click on the shop tab to explore the huge variety of products they have available.

I want to give you a quick glimpse of our experience into the “green energy” discovery box. I don’t want to give away too many of the details because I’ll want you to discover  these for yourselves. This will mostly be a visual glimpse of the fun had within the box.

Water Energy

With this portion of the box, kids are able to create their own hydro-powered water wheel. My kids loved spraying their wheel with the hose to discover the power that can be found with water.

Wind Energy

This activity gets kids actively engaged in making their own hand-made rockets blast through the air. This activity is tied into the elements that make a real rocket go. There is also a lesson about windmills and how energy is generated through the power of wind.

Solar Energy

The final project involved building a solar oven that really works. We used the box that housed all the other projects as our “oven.” The kids were able to make their own S’Mores, but there were other recipes also provided so that they can use the sun’s power to bake over and over again.

Now that I’ve shared some of our experience, I would like to let you in on a bit more about the company:
