Danish design studio GamFratesi have recently completed the renovation of a duo of restaurants in ‘La Maison du Danemark’, on the Champs-Elysées of Paris. Located not the ground floor Flora Danica (pictured) is noted as a high-end brasserie while the first floor, Copenhague, houses a fine dining experience. Whilst both present a unique aesthetic approach to modern dining - each space has been created to naturally coexist featuring elements of classical mid-century Danish design. Flora Danica is a contemporary take on a Danish brasserie with all the sophistication of French influences. The atmosphere is flooded with lush green hues used in fabrics and natural stone. The deep colour palette is complemented by tones of grey, furniture finished with black and brass detailing, as well as a stunning herringbone floor in Carrara and emerald marble. The alternate half of the restaurant has subtle and more intimate personality, with floor carpets and plush velvet sofas.
