AT Kearney Procurement & Analytic Solutions (ATKPAS) partnered with the Eli Broad College of Business Full-Time MBA Program to create the inaugural Broad MBA Consulting Summit, held April 4.

MBA students participated in a case workshop featuring one-on-one case coaching by ATKPAS professionals. They also heard a keynote presentation over lunch titled “The Innovative AT Kearney Procurement & Analytic Solutions,” which looked at how ATKPAS has leveraged innovation to deliver value to its clients and highlighted some of the most recent trends in the consulting industry.

“A consulting summit such as this directly caters to MBA students interested in the field of consulting, said Kalpana Prabhu (MBA ’14), “but it is also very relevant to any MBA student, as most full-time roles require you to be client facing, whether internally or externally. As professionals share their experiences, students develop perspective and identify what skillsets are required and how to develop them for their future careers.”

“At the summit, we had senior executives from ATKPAS talking beyond careers and skills,” said Samir Raval (MBA ’14). “We heard about changing trends in the consulting industry, how technology has been a game changer, the tools that made the difference.”

Meanwhile, MBA faculty met with ATKPAS staff for a round table on helping students prepare for internships and careers in consulting, and advanced undergraduate students experienced their own case workshop.

The MBA Career Services Center, the Broad Consulting Club, Spartan Consulting, and Students Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations partnered with ATKPAS to plan the summit. The event marks the first time these on-campus groups have joined efforts to develop such an experience for students.
