Maja, Jericho and Angel
Last night’s episode of “The Legal Wife” earned more than 27% in TV ratings, a huge cause for celebration for the series’ main cast, Angel Locsin, Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales.
Angel appreciates the support they are getting from viewers.
“Nakakatuwa ‘yung mga reactions na nababasa namin kasi ang hirap ng kwento. Hindi naman ito typical na formula lang ng ABS-CBN tapos nag-rereact sila ng ganun. Nakakataba ng puso na na-appreciate nila ang ganitong klaseng kwento kasi nangyayari talaga ito sa totoong buhay,” said Angel who plays Monica Santiago De Villa, the aggrieved wife in the series.
Angel attributes the series’ success to the beautifully written script which, she says, gives her and her co-stars “goosebumps.”
Maja who plays Nicole, Monica’s best friend, is happy to hear about the latest ratings result.
“Basta nasa cloud nine yata kaming lahat ngayon. Grabe sobrang init ng pagtanggap,” Maja said.
For her, it is inevitable that more Kapamilya viewers will be glued to the series with Monica finally discovering Nicole’s affair with Adrian.
“Mamaya sasagasaan na niya. So sobrang excited na kami na mapanuod ninyo na ‘yung ibang mga eksena kung saan talaga sasabihin mo, ‘ano kayang gawin ni Monica pagkatapos niyang malaman?’ ‘Anong gagawin ni Adrian?’ ‘Si Nicole ipagpapatuloy ba niya?’ ‘Kaya ba niyang mawala si Adrian?’ ‘Yung mga ganun,” she related.
“Sobrang sarap panuurin ang show na involved ang buong bayan. We’re happy kasi alam naming hindi kami kumukuha ng ratings because kung ano-anong gimiks ginagawa namin. It’s really something that happens
because the story is that good,” added Jericho.
Jericho reveals that there are times that he just couldn’t believe what the characters would go through.
He commented, “Minsan ‘pag nag-babasa kami ng script, minsan ibababa ko ‘yung script at matitigilan ‘ano ba ito?’ Minsan mapapahinto ako. Hindi ko alam kung gusto kong mag-sorry for playing this character or
say thank you.”
Lastly, Angel stressed that with “The Legal Wife” they hope to inspire and give hope to families that are facing challenges.
