By now, you probably realize that documenting memories and life moments is a passion of mine. In this digital age, I often find myself hankering for those times when you had to print your film or you would never see those precious moments again. These days, everyone relies heavily on their devices to store their photographs but I’m a firm believer, from experience, that you should have all your memories printed and displayed in albums, or on your walls, or on your office desk, or at home. Otherwise what’s really the point? This may be an old-school view of things but I’ve lost many treasured photos when one of my devices crashed or was lost or stolen. Those times were heart-wrenching because those memorialized moments are now gone forever and all because I hadn’t had the time to print them out. Plus, flipping through an actual photo album will always beat looking at photos on a screen.
People rarely use cameras anymore. Instead, they use mobile phones to record their life memories and moments. And there is an awesome app—a homegrown Pinoy one—that I just have to share with you. As a mother, it has been one of my favorite discoveries this year. I don’t say this lightly. My phone has thousands and thousands of photos of my life (mostly of my darling children) in it. I just gave birth to my baby girl last February and upgraded my phone specifically to one that is known for its camera quality because I knew I would be obsessively recording my daughter’s every move. But I was always at a loss on how I could print them out from my phone without going through a tedious and time-consuming process. I’m a mom of three kiddos so if something takes too long to do, chances are I’m probably not going to get around to doing it.
Enter my essential app of the moment: Storytell Prints. Storytell Prints is the newest, local social printing app that helps you to tangibly hold on to your memories in a variety of creative formats. As I mentioned, I require things like these to be super easy, efficient, and fast because I just don’t have the luxury to fluff around these days. This app allows you to print your photos from your actual phone, or Facebook, or Instagram. It also lets you edit your photos within the app and the photos are delivered straight to you, printed out, within five days. I love all the formats it offers. Storytell Prints has cool Polaroid styles, board prints that are great for displaying pictures without needing frames, photobooks, posters, and many more choices. I have to tell you that I’m hooked. It’s been a godsend to me and I already had some of my prints framed. I’m also currently working on my daughter’s baby book so I have been ordering up a storm.
I just wanted to share this app with all of you because when I find something that I love and that actually works the way it says it will work, it’s an awesome moment. It is now so easy. You can have all of your special moments printed out for you to cherish always, just by downloading an app. How cool is that?
