Fans of Star Wars will find interst in this next story. A Fredericton man has built his own fully operational droid based on the new movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Cory Pacione created replica of a little orange-and-white droid called BB-8 that's featured in the new movie, out in just a few weeks.
Four magnets in each the head and body work together with hidden wheels to make the BB-roll around. He says the non-profit group Fredericton Makerspace was a "huge help" in making the robot a reality---providing space and a 3D printer to make the body. Pacione's creation will be featured on Daily Planet in the next few weeks.
