Programme premieres this weekend on MTV Music (Saturday 13 September, 9pm) and MTV Live HD (Sunday 14 September, 10pm)
As part of the 2014 festival programme, Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) partnered with MTV to present some of the UK’s hottest new talent including Ella Eyra, Jess Glynne and Becky Hill. The exclusive show – titled MTV Brand New presented by LIMF – took place on 13 August at Liverpool’s well-known Camp and Furnace venue.
This weekend, the event will be broadcast nationally across MTV’s flagship UK music channels, MTV Music and MTV LIVE HD. Screening on MTV Music at 9pm on Saturday (13 September) and MTV Live HD at 10pm on Sunday (14 September), the two programmes will showcase the very best of the Liverpool event.

Ella Eyre: Brand New Liverpool Live
Viewers can catch MTV Brand New 2014 nominee and Brit Award winner Ella Eyre’s incredible performance to a packed crowd. Her live set will include hits If I Go, Comeback and UK number 1 smash Waiting All Night.

Some of the UK’s hottest new talent perform in this one-off exclusive show featuring Brit Award winner Ella Eyre, chart-topping singer-songwriter Jess Glynne and star of number one single ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ Becky Hill
Ella burst onto the scene when she featured on Rudimental’s ‘Waiting All Night’ and is known for her dynamic live sets and her powerful, raw, seductive voice. Her own debut single ‘If I Go’, released in July, perfectly exhibits her all-conquering massive vocal with it’s gravely rich tone taking centre stage.
Jess Glynne released her debut single ‘Right Here’ in June this year – with her voice already distinctly recognised from the chart toppers she has already featured on. Her vocal crosses over a distinguished mix of hip hop and soul but with enough pop to satisfy the wider audience at the same time. She has also worked with Bless Beats, Rudimental and MNEK but now emerges in her own right.
Becky Hill has now toured with Rudimental, featured on and co written their track ‘Powerless’, Wilkinson’s ‘Afterglow’ and her recent Number 1 ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’.
LIMF Music Curator Yaw Owusu commented; “We were delighted to partner with MTV for the MTV Brand New presented by LIMF event in August. It was an amazing event and we are very proud to have been able to give these up-and-coming artists a performance platform as part of the festival.
‘The venue itself was quite intimate – so it is fantastic that the artists and their incredible performances will now be exposed to a national audience.”
MTV Brand New presented by LIMF will be broadcast on MTV Music on Saturday 13 September at 9pm and on MTV Live HD on Sunday 14 August at 10pm.
