The 15th episode of Season 2 of the American superhero drama TV series “The Flash” on The CW will air on February 23 and the photos and the synopsis of the episode showed a mini-crossover with its parent series “Arrow” also on The CW.

Apparently, John Diggle, played by David Ramsey, and Lila, played by Audrey Marie Anderson, will go to Central City and join the STAR Labs Team and The Flash battle the King Shark, who happens to have escaped an A.R.G.U.S. holding tank facility.

As if knowing where to find The Flash, the King Shark actually shows up at the West house attacking Joe, played by Jesse L. Martin, Iris, played by Candice Patton, Wally, played by Keiynan Lonsdale, and Barry, played by Grant Gustin, notes Comicbook.com.

Aptly titled “King Shark,” the 15th episode of “The Flash” is directed by Hanelle Culpepper based on the screenplay written by Benjamin Raab and Deric A. Hughes.

The identity of Zoom

Other than dealing with King Shark, the main plotline of the next few episodes of “The Flash” shall focus on the possible identity of Zoom after members of Team Flash come back from their Earth-2 adventure.

In the previous episode, Barry Allen, along with Harrison Wells, played by Tom Cavanagh, Joe, and Cisco Ramon, played by Carlos Valdez, barely escaped Zoom so the storyline for the season’s main villain shall continue.

Reports have it that the upcoming episodes of “The Flash” shall focus on Zoom’s identity as well as Barry dealing with the after-effects of his journey to a different universe, details the International Business Times of UK.

Although all breaches between Earth-1 and Earth-2 have already been closed, executive producer Todd Helbing said that viewers have not seen the last of Earth-2. In addition to Zoom, the STAR Labs Team also needs to find out what happened to Killer Frost.

But the high point of Season 2 of “The Flash” will be the revelation of the identity of Zoom. According to speculations, the speed demon’s identity could be anybody from Jay Garrick, or perhaps even Henry Allen. In fact, a promo picture of the next episode of “The Flash” showed Zoom opening his hood and revealing his identity to Barry. This could be a dream sequence, though.

A changed The Flash

There are also hints based on the promo video of the next episodes of “The Flash” that Barry’s trip to Earth-2 actually changed him and he will turn to his dark side.

Based on what Iris’s boss at Picture News said that The Flash has gone rogue and that Iris should work on exposing the Scarlet Speedster as a fraud. In fact, Barry was later on seen being held in a STAR Labs holding cell.

During the premiere season of “The Flash” on The CW, the main nemesis of the Scarlet Speedster is none other than Eobard Thawne, the alter ego of the Reverse-Flash.

Eobard Thawne travelled back in time and when he lost his power to get back to the future, he took on the persona of Dr. Harrison Wells.

During the Season 1 finale, Eobard Thawne as Harrison Wells disintegrated after Detective Eddie Thawne shot himself, being the ancestor of Eobard, thus ending the life of the Reverse-Flash as well.

The current second season of “The Flash” shows Barry Allen and the Golden Age Flash Jay Garrick battling a speed demon called Zoom. Dr. Harrison Wells from Earth-2 showed up again on Earth-1 and claimed that he was the one responsible for creating Zoom.

While it seems clear during the midseason finale episode of “The Flash” Season 2 in December last year that Harrison Wells from Earth-2 is different from Zoom, many keen fans believe that Eobard Thawne from Earth-2 is Zoom.
