The upcoming season of the American supernatural drama TV series “Sleepy Hollow” will feature Tom Mison’s Ichabod Crane and Lyndie Greenwood’s Jenny Mills reunite in search for a new Witness.
The last season saw a major twist in the show as Nicole Beharie’s Abbie Mills was killed off after sacrificing herself to defeat The Hidden One. Reports say that Crane will be heading to Washington D.C. and will need Jenny’s help to locate the new Witness.
Speaking to Blastr, Mison and Greenwood said that their characters’ seeing each other again in the Season 4 premiere will be a struck of fate.
Greenwood says that Jenny has been searching for a new Witness for a while now as part of her healing process on her sister’s death, and will chance upon Ichabod while tracing supernatural activities in Washington D.C.
According to Movie News Guide, Ichabod will work with a secret organization specializing in supernatural investigations. He will also discover a bigger archive located in the capital where every supernatural phenomenon has been reported.
The latest season will also introduce Janina Gavankar as Beharie’s replacement. The “True Blood” alum will play Diana Thomas, a secret service agent and a single mother who does not believe in the supernatural.
“Masterchef Junior” alum Oona Yaffe will also join the cast as Molly, Diana’s 10-year-old daughter.
Reports say that Diana and Ichabod will not see eye-to-eye when they meet, but the arrival of the fourth season’s big bad will finally make them settle their differences.
Producers say that the unfriendly ambiance between Ichabod and Diana will be an interesting thing to look forward to in the upcoming season as their relationship will play an integral part of the plotline.
Parent Herald adds that Jenny will also help Ichabod convince Diana that supernatural things do exist.
Jeremy Davis was cast as Malcolm Dreyfuss, a billionaire tech mogul who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He will even befriend the Headless Horseman, who was recently confirmed to return in Season 4 of “Sleepy Hollow.”
Speaking to TV Line, Mison promised fans that the upcoming season will see a new side of his character. He adds that Ichabod was really scared after Abbie’s death and that will stay with him for a long time.
He is also setting foot in a new place and will meet new people hence the new Ichabod will be a little on-guard towards his new journey.
Meanwhile, the show will also welcome new characters in the upcoming season. Kamar de los Reyes is the latest addition to the roster.
The “Salt” star has landed a recurring role on the Fox series and will portray Jobe, a burly bodyguard for Malcolm Dreyfuss.
As per Deadline, Jobe is the heavy who takes care of people who stand in the way of Malcolm’s plans. The website adds that Jobe is part of a major story arc in Season 4.
Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho, who portrayed FBI Agents Daniel Reynolds and Sophie Foster, respectively, will not be returning for the upcoming season since the setting of the show will be moved to Washington D.C.
Rachel Melvin has signed up to play Alex Norwood, an engineer at the supernatural archives, who ironically does not believe in the supernatural. Reports say that her meeting with Ichabod will change her perspectives.
Jerry MacKinnon also joins the cast and will play Jake Wells, a research analyst. There are no details yet about when and how the two characters will be introduced, but fans will probably meet them within the first two episodes.
