Prince Harry is very determined to take his relationship with actress Meghan Markle to the next level as he recently introduced his girlfriend to his sister-in-law and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, as well as the latter’s daughter, Princess Charlotte.
The “Suits” actress paid a visit to Prince Harry in London recently and the younger brother of Prince William took it as an opportunity to introduce his girlfriend to Kate Middleton at their home in Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace on January 10.
Kensington Palace is just a stone’s throw away from Prince Harry’s abode in the Nottingham Cottage, reports Hello Magazine.
According to an insider, Kate Middleton was already looking forward to meeting Meghan Markle and she also knew how important it was to Harry.
Apparently, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton are very close and the former really values Kate’s opinion on her girlfriends.
Harry looks to Kate for a sort of older sister and maternal role since he lost his mother, Princess Diana, while he was very young.
The same source explained that the meeting between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton really went well because the excitement was obvious for both ladies.
A belated birthday present
Meghan Markle gave the Duchess a thoughtful, belated birthday present and even got to meet Princess Charlotte. Prince George was at the family’s country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk as he goes to nursery there.
The insider said that Meghan also got the opportunity to play with Charlotte whom she just adored. She also bought Kate a small birthday present, a very smart leather-bound dream diary for her thoughts and ideas which Kate appreciated and loved.
The actress had been introduced to Harry’s brother Prince William two months ago at Kensington Palace, but Kate missed out as she was at Anmer Hall at that time.
According to a source close to the actress, Meghan was so happy because she is getting to know more of Harry’s nearest and dearest and that her meeting with Kate Middleton really went well.
The recent visit of Meghan Markle in London came after she and Prince Harry went to Norway last week to see the Northern Lights.
Harry and Meghan flew out to Tromso after seeing in the New Year in London. The young prince reportedly pulled out all stops for the romantic break, arranging whale-watching trips and renting the luxury £2,000-a-week Tromvik Lodge.
Meghan has been on cloud nine since coming back from Norway, according to the source close to the actress as the country was so amazing.
It was also the first time that Prince Harry and Meghan had done such a trip together, and they definitely want to go on more adventure trips because they are obviously so in love with each other.
Happy for his brother
Another source close to Prince William said that the Duke of Cambridge is very happy for his brother.
The 34-year-old Prince William met the actress also in London some two months after she and Prince Harry started dating last year. William and Meghan got on fabulously and Harry was very elated about the whole thing.
The latest visit of Meghan Markle in London to meet Kate Middleton that turned out very well also debunked previous rumors that the Duchess of Cambridge is wary of having the American actress for a sister-in-law as the latter might take the spotlight away from her.
