Their first official ream-up was with the hit song “Bang Bang” along with Jessie J. Singer-rapper Nicki Minaj and songstress Ariana Grande will do it again in this weekend’s 2016 Video Music Awards (VMA) of MTV.
The 2016 VMA will air live on August 28 from New York City’s Madison Square Garden and Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande shall be performing live on stage the song “Side to Side” from Ari’s third studio album titled “Dangerous Woman,” details Billboard.
There are also reports saying that the official music video of “Side to Side” shall also be released on the same day as the 2016 VMA.
Two years ago, Nicki and Ari also performed at the 2014 VMA where they opened the show with a medley of Grande’s “Break Free” and Minaj’s “Anaconda,” before topping it off with their collaboration with Jessie J in the song “Bang Bang.”
During the 2014 VMA, Ariana Grande won the Best Pop Video for her song “Problem” that featured Iggy Azalea.
A performance to look forward to
While there will be plenty of live performances in the 2016 VMA as had been the case in the past holding of the annual event, the combined stage presence of Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande has made it one of the key things that fans and viewers should look forward to in the event.
Ariana Grande even said that she will be sharing her voice like it’s never been heard before, notes People.
The two pop superstars shall be part of the star-studded performers in the 2016 VMA including Nick Jonas, Rihanna, who shall be receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and Britney Spears, who will be performing in the event for the first time in nine years.
MTV also disclosed the list of presenters who will be handing out the Moonman trophies including Kim Kardashian-West, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Alicia Keys, Ansel Elgort, Bebe Rexha, Fifth Harmony, Jaden Smith, Rita Ora, Shameik Moore, and Tove Lo.
Comedians Jay Pharoah and Nicole Byer, as well as DJ Khaled, will serve as main show commentators. Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele will introduce social media influencers @TheShamester and @LizardSheeple who will also share play-by-play commentary.
Beyoncé leads the nominations in the 2016 VMA with 11 and Adele is a close second with eight.
Still going strong
Amid the challenges that they have been through as of late, Nicki Minaj and boyfriend Meek Mill are still going strong.
They have decided to move back to the West Coast and the original plan was to buy a property in Los Angeles, particularly in the posh Beverly Hills. But with Meek Mill’s recent house arrest, the acquisition had to be put on hold.
But since they really like the property they saw in Beverly Hills, they decided to rent it for the time being with a staggering $30,000 a month.
The couple has really redefined Beverly Hills with a capital L by renting the 9-bedroom, 8-bathroom, and 5-car garage mansion over an 11,500-square feet property.
Because of the legal entanglements that Meek Mill is currently into, the lease agreements and other pertinent documents are all being signed by the “Anaconda” singer.
The same reports are now saying that Meek Mill is now putting the mansion’s vast parking space to good use for his ATVs.
More than its elegance and sprawling size, the mansion actually offers a sweeping and impressive view of the valley below.
The property has a spacious lawn, an outdoor swimming pool, and a barbecue area.
A number of photos about the property have already made it online and it shows that the mansion has adequate room to entertain plenty of guests. A light and airy feel also permeate with the house’s modern furnishings.
