There’s always a console war happening between Microsoft and Sony users. Things get more exciting when PC ‘Master Race’ players enter the fray. However, the fan base of Microsoft and Sony has cooled down since both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have entered relative maturity.

However, things are starting to shift again, with the recent announcement of the PS4 Pro. Ever since Sony’s press conference, Microsoft has gotten aggressive again.

The company is currently touting the capabilities and features of both Xbox Scorpio and Xbox One S. Regarding power; the PS4 Pro is undoubtedly more powerful than the PS4.

According to Microsoft, the Xbox Scorpio comes with a much larger improvement in power. According to Albert Penello, the Microsoft senior director of project management and planning, ‘the performance delta will be obvious.’

In Twitter as well, the company was fairly active. The Xbox Scorpio will feature a graphics solution of 6 teraflops which is significantly greater than that of PS4 Pro’s 4.3.

The power difference is an important thing to consider with these two machines since that officially translates to which console is better.

Keep in mind that both these consoles have been built, keeping in mind the recent rise of 4K gaming. Processor-wise, achieving something like that isn’t an easy task at all.

Both of these companies sell to highly-enthusiastic customers. Therefore, power is an important factor to consider. On top of that, we can’t simply forget about Virtual Reality either.

However, PS4 enjoys a great advantage. It has a complete year to establish itself before Scorpio is launched. Moreover, there’s always an advantage to PS4’s install base and superior mindshare.

Microsoft struggled a lot during the start of this console generation, but currently, the tech giant is mounting an impressive and aggressive comeback. Watch out Sony!

The console wars have been fierce all the time. Each of the generation of platforms and consoles set up their foundation and the gamers came rallying behind.

The Xbox One S has already been launched by Microsoft. It features a slimmed-down version of the beast which was once too bulky. The console can now easily churn out 4K video and upscaling Full-HD games to sweet Ultra-HD. Sony isn’t lagging behind either. They retaliated with the announcement of PS4 Slim.

It features the same hardware as the first PS4, but it’s now smaller. At the same time, they talked about the PS4 Pro, which will feature 4K streaming and video gaming. Now, on the other hand, the Redmond-based Tech Giant has another trump card left- the all-mighty Project Scorpio.

It was announced back in E3 2016, and it’s mainly targeted towards high-end media and gaming. The device includes support for virtual reality as well.

The entire spec-sheet is yet to be revealed but from what’s known so far, it is a console under development and will feature a huge boost, with 320GBPS memory bandwidth, six teraflops of GPU power and 8 CPU cores.

The head of Microsoft Xbox, Phil Spencer, boasted about the most powerful console ever created. It’s quite a confident claim since Sony didn’t reveal its cards yet, for the PS4 Pro. The competition has been established and now it’s time for Sony to respond in kind.

In other news, it has been confirmed by Microsoft that some of the games developed for the Scorpio will natively support 4K resolutions.

Talking about games that have been developed by Microsoft for the Scorpio, Shannon Loftis, the publishing manager told USA Today that any of the games that they are planning to launch in the Xbox Scorpio launch frame would feature native rendering at 4K resolutions.
