The crossover role-playing game “Kingdom Hearts 3” has yet to come out but there are now rumors going around that its potential climax or ending has already been hinted or teased by spinoff game entitled “Kingdom Hearts X” that came out in Japan recently.

There is a modified version of “Kingdom Hearts X” which was released to mobile devices in the US called as “Kingdom Hearts Unchained X.”

According to reports, gamers and enthusiasts have gone on to analyze the ending of “Kingdom Hearts X” and have come to the conclusion that it tackles the inevitable conflict between the 13 Darkness and the 7 Light, a battle that shall end the series’ current storyline, details the Christian Today.

The gaming analysts further said that Sora and his allies are part of the 7 Light while Xehanort will be leading the 13 Darkness.

The spinoff game released in Japan ends with the player character in a Keyblade graveyard where the weapons of fallen warriors have been left behind.

It also showed that there are shadowy figures standing on both sides of the screen which analysts believe are the characters of the 13 Darkness and the 7 Light.

The player character eventually sees a light shining from above and simply mentioned ‘This is..’ before the screen fades to black and the game ends, seemingly ending in a cliffhanger.

According to speculations, the light could be Sora or the Kingdom Hearts itself, showing its true form for the first time in the entire franchise.

As a result of this new information, “Kingdom Hearts 3” will end with the battle of both sides at the Keyblade graveyard until one of them successfully opens and unleashes the power of Kingdom Hearts to defeat the opposing team.

It can be recalled that the very same Keyblade graveyard was already featured in the ending of “Kingdom Hearts 2.”

Still in development

Fans of the “Kingdom Hearts” franchise were disappointed when neither Disney nor game developer Square Enix did not reveal any information regarding “Kingdom Hearts 3” during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 held in Los Angeles, California in June.

While the announcement has already been made for the eventual release of “Kingdom Hearts 2.8” Final Chapter Prologue” in December 2016, that did not stop fans and gamers from their excitement and enthusiasm for the release of “Kingdom Hearts 3,” reports Game & Guide.

Reports have it that the game might be released in April 2017 but Square Enix has not said anything official about the game except saying that it is currently in development.

But “Kingdom Hearts 3” co-director Tai Yasue cited the importance for gamers to be able to play first “Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue” as it is very crucial in understanding the storyline of the highly-anticipated game.

He explained that if gamers would not know anything about Aqua’s sorrow and torment in “Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue,” they will not be able to attach themselves to the character when they get their hands on “Kingdom Hearts 3.”

More about Keyblade Transformations

It has been previously reported that aside from several Disney worlds, the crossover role-playing game shall also feature the world of “Final Fantasy.”

Tetsuya Nomura, director of the ”Kingdom Hearts” franchise recently stated that “Kingdom Hearts 3” shall feature more details about the Keyblade Transformations, the exploration of the game, and a prelude as well.

The Japanese game director said that Keyblade Transformations are an inspired Command Styles function from “Birth By Sleep.”

However, Tai Yasue explicitly stated that “Kingdom Hearts 3” shall not feature any world from the “Final Fantasy” franchise. He added that instead, Sora and his friends Donald and Goofy, will explore the popular realms from popular Disney movies and home videos.

Yasue also explained that they want a different gameplay for “Kingdom Hearts 3” and the reports are saying that each world will have their specific challenges and battles in “Kingdom Hearts 3.”
