Massachusetts Sen. Ben Downing, who opted not to run for re-election this year, is joining Nexamp Inc., a solar energy company.
Downing, who is the state Senate chair of Beacon Hill's Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy, will serve as the company's vice president of new market development, helping "lead the company's entry into the burgeoning energy storage market," Nexamp said.
