ATLANTA – Reality TV star Kandi Burruss of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ released her first official wedding photo the other day and the gown is all everybody’s talking about. Call it over-the-top, but Kandi wore an extravagant Reco Chapple dress covered in sequins and cutouts, with a 12-foot ostrich feather train, and a princess crown. Kandi told InTouch the gown cost $20,000. Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker tied the knot last Friday in spite of ongoing drama between Todd and Kandi’s mother – Mama Joyce – who gave a less than flattering endorsement of their marriage.
“Doesn’t make no difference if I’m happy or not, she’s the one that has to live with him,” said Mama Joyce after the wedding. “I did everything I could do. If she’s jumping in the river with sharks, she’s gonna get chewed up.”
When asked to clarify the controversy surrounding the prenuptial agreement, Mama Joyce added: “His mom said she didn’t see no reason for him to have to sign because they were in love. He was the one who didn’t have a damn thing, but that’s another story. But from what I understand, he did sign.”
