(I promise this photo is related to the post. I mean, aside from being stinking ADORABLE. Just read on, okay?!)

This afternoon Annalyn said, “Hey, Mom, we should do what Allie and Grandpa do: buy a bunch of groceries once a month!” That helpful suggestion came after our daily routine: “What are we having for dinner, Mom?” “I don’t know yet, OKAY???”

Later today Mark informed me that he’d pulled the last roll of toilet paper out of the cabinet, and I breathed a sigh of relief when I found another package of diapers after using the last one this morning. And it’s possible I’ve been wearing the same mismatched socks for the last day and a half.

You guys, my house is falling apart! The pantry and the fridge are bare, and I’m not sure which is a bigger mess: my car, my purse or my dining room table. (I’m kidding. The dining room wins by a mile.)

There’s no good time to run out of toilet paper or diapers (or deodorant or milk – two other things I’ve recently run out of!!), but the holidays are a busy season when we just can’t afford to run on empty.

Enter Sam’s Club.

In a season when I’m short on time and money, Sam’s Club offers convenience and value on the essentials I need to keep my house running and my sanity intact. According to Sam’s Club, a full home is a happy home (and I can’t argue with that!). But even more fun than that, because of the club’s great deals, members who buy holiday essentials at Sam’s save about $97.

Sweet!

And on top of saving all that money, Sam’s Club also makes shopping SUPER easy with Club Pickup. I’ve been a member of Sam’s Club for years but had no idea this service existed. And since I almost always have at least one and often two noisy, antsy, hungry, high-energy, strong-willed companions on my shopping trips, I was all about it!

I mean, all you have to do is go online, place your order, select a time to pick it up (as early as the next day), then they do the shopping for you. What?!? EASY PEASY. Especially when you need the kind of bulky items Sam’s Club offers at such great prices.

(Like a giant box of Tide pods. Or a whole bunch of Swiffer dusters.)

So, Sam’s has such great prices on the brands we use most and need to make it through this busy season (like Tide, Swiffer, Gain, Mr. Clean and more) that you might end up with some extra money to spend. I did – and got some stuff for a party I’m planning, the softest blanket I’ve ever touched, some candles to brighten up my Christmas decorations, and two GIANT bags of tortilla chips.

Because, let’s be honest, even if I don’t serve chips at that party, those chips WILL be eaten!

Oh, and I also got Adrienne a pair of fleece pajamas that she insisted putting on the minute we got home. She was so happy she even let me snap a bunch of pictures of her wearing them! (Like the one above. See?)
