Sweet salt is an incredibly easy way to add variety to kale chips…it already has all the flavor you need to turn your standard chips into a sweet-salty treat that has a kettle-corn-esque quality (but with kale).

Wine Pairing: Riesling

Ingredients:
2 bunches Kale
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Sweet Salt, plus extra to taste

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

2. Wash the kale & tear it into bite size pieces.  Spread the pieces across two baking sheets.

3. Drizzle the kale with the olive oil & toss the pieces until well coated (this will help them crisp up better).

4. Put the baking sheets in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on how crispy you want them.

Toss the kale midway through the baking process to ensure the pieces crisp evenly.

5. Check the kale frequently towards the end of the cooking process, stirring, to ensure it doesn’t burn.

6. Sprinkle a little extra sweet salt on top (to taste) once the kale comes out of the oven.

7. Let the kale chips cool.  Serve.
