The University of Northampton hosted its first IT Service
Management (ITSM) conference on the 19th July 2012, with
attendees hailing it as a resounding success.
Superbly hosted by Susan Bailey who was the organiser of the
event, Susan ensured things ran smoothly, everyone was catered for
and fully deserves every credit.
Presentations from Ben Clacy (Chief Executive, itSMF UK),
Matthew Burrows (Managing Director, BSM impact), Sandra Whittleston
(Senior Lecturer, University of Northampton) and Dr Don Page (CEO,
Marval) provided students of the IT Service Management degree a
real insight of what they can expect to see in the 'real' world of
ITSM. This also offered the students advice, guidance and words of
wisdom from experts in the industry, which they can take forward
and use to kick-start their career.
Students from the course presented their dissertations,
outlining the research question, methodology, findings and
recommendations; clearly demonstrating a bright future for the ITSM
industry.
Dr Don Page had the privilege of presenting the Marval ITSM
student of the year award 2012, which after much consideration, was
won by 'A grade' student Samuel Imhanwa, who was a worthy
winner.
Page said "The team at The University of Northampton, Susan
Bailey and her students should be proud of what they have
achieved, a true credit to themselves."
