POSITION SUMMARY
The Cluster eCommerce Manager will execute Marriott’s Corporate eCommerce strategy at the cluster and/or hotel level, and ensure
that individual hotels are aligning with Corporate eCommerce strategies and e-activating their electronic channels (Marriott.com,
multi-lingual global sites, eChannels, search engines, and other eMarketing vehicles) to maximize online revenue and profitability.
This role will provide hotel support, education, and pull-through of Marriott’s digital strategy. This role will also provide local market
insights and recommendations via the continental Director of Global eCommerce Services (GES). Key responsibilities are: execute
Marriott’s eCommerce strategy as eCommerce lead for hotels/clusters; ensure all hotels within a cluster are fully activated on
Marriott.com and appropriate in-language global sites; verify all hotels within a cluster are fully activating and optimizing their
presence on approved internet eChannels; and provide eCommerce communication, training, and education

Qualifications:
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
1) Execute Marriott’s eCommerce strategy across hotels within a cluster as eCommerce lead for hotels/clusters
Ensure property information on Marriott.com, global sites, and eChannels is accurate, complete, and timely to enable hotels
to meet or exceed guest expectations at every online touchpoint during the guest journey
Employ eMarketing strategies and tactics to drive revenue for hotels, including:
o Use search engine optimization, paid search, email marketing, and other online marketing tactics to increase
penetration with target customers
o Collaborate closely with DMEs, VPMEs and Cluster Marketing teams to execute/pull through online Brand
Marketing strategies and plans for the cluster.
o Champion and audit use of B2B e-tools (i.e. res link, custom event web pages, quick group) to grow online
bookings for Group and Corporate business in cluster hotels.
Partner with Marketing Manager to provide advice to hotels and activate appropriate on-strategy eCommerce priorities and
tactics
Support Marriott’s focus on bias booking direct” strategic direction
Work with the Marketing Manager and Sr. eCommerce Manager to:
o Set ecommerce goals for the cluster/hotel, review progress periodically, and troubleshoot performance issues
o Identify hotel-specific online needs
o Set budgets for the cluster/hotels for eCommerce activities
2) Ensure that all hotels within a cluster are fully activated on Marriott.com and appropriate in-language global sites
Implement and manage the Hotel Web Sites on Marriott.com and its global sites
o Maintain and update all Marriott.com Hotel Web Site content including marketing messaging, imagery, captions,
links, PDFs, hotel alerts, etc. (MM responsible for creation of marketing materials)
o Conduct regular audits of Marriott.com Hotel Web Sites to ensure each hotel is optimized for high quality custom
images, content, links, and accurate translations, and work with hotels on corrective action
Responsible for activation of eAction plan (utilizing marketing materials created by Marketing Manager)
o Serve as the EPIC/Vignette administrator for the hotel(s) for all relevant fields.
o Manage the pull-through and activation of key corporate eCommerce projects (e.g., new Marriott.com Hotel Web
Sites, Local Area Knowledge, and similar corporate e” services)
Search Engine Marketing of the Marriott.com Hotel Web Sites
o Assure that hotel websites and modules on Marriott.com and global sites are fully optimized to maximize traffic
from search engines. POC with SEO Vendor to coordinate Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics
Manage oversight of onsite optimization strategy i.e. key word review, meta data, title tags, page copy etc.
Manage oversight of offsite optimization strategy i.e. photo and video syndication, press release
optimization, directory listings etc.
o Work with Marketing Manager and Corporate Global eCommerce Services (GES) to manage the pay-per-click
keyword strategy
