The Manager, Digital Marketing will play a key role in helping to manage and execute digital marketing and social media initiatives for Marriott’s Lifestyle Brands. The assignment will focus on EDITION Hotels, a new brand conceived by Ian Schrager in a partnership with Marriott International. The role will be an important contributor on the EDITION brand and Marriott Digital Marketing teams, executing digital and social media marketing tactics to primarily deliver brand awareness initiatives supporting EDITION Hotels. In addition to other duties assigned, this role will manage the execution and strategy of EDITION Hotels brand website, digital advertising, and social media supporting the brand’s overarching awareness and engagement strategies. This role will report into the EDITION team through the Director, Creative Services & Marketing and the Marriott Digital Marketing team through the Director, Digital Brand Marketing. This role will partner closely with key members of the lifestyle brand team, public relations, eCommerce, digital agencies, key hotel stakeholders, and the field organization. The role will be based at EDITION Corporate offices in New York, but will spend considerable time with the Marriott International eCommerce team at Marriott Headquarters in Bethesda, MD

Qualifications:

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience
· 2 years of digital marketing and/or social media marketing.
· College degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field
· Luxury background preferred.

Experiences applicable to the Job
· Demonstrated experience with digital marketing and advertising execution
· Demonstrated experience with managing website and mobile projects
· Demonstrated experience with Social Media marketing, monitoring, management, content and advertising
· Demonstrated experience with digital campaign analytics and reporting
· Solid understanding of digital marketing trends and industry best practices
· Solid understanding of mobile and tablet industry platforms, devices and trends

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Digital and Social Media Marketing:
· Responsible for prioritizing, managing, supporting and executing digital strategy initiatives (brand website, social media, digital advertising, search engine marketing) to support EDITION Hotels.
· Responsible for providing direction and regular communication to agencies on digital marketing initiatives related to brand website, social media and advertising.
· Manage the social media agency of record and oversee strategic initiatives related to social media strategy for EDITION.
· Develop the Social Media playbook for hotels and oversee brand social media content creation process implemented by agency.
· Oversee social media monitoring, advertising, sweepstakes and other activations implemented by agency.
· Liaise with internal social media teams to collaborate on best practices and customer care.
· Monitor and report out on social media landscape trends and competitor activity.
* Work closely with property Revenue Manager, DOSM and corporate brand team to develop effective promotions for eCommerce channels.
· Liaise with internal and external PR teams to ensure tight integration and holistic campaigns.
* Develop strong relationships with Marriott subject matter experts and channel leaders, agencies, media and distribution partners to cost-effectively maximize opportunities for the brand while ensuring high-quality on-strategy creative is delivered.
· Partner with the Ritz-Carlton field eCommerce team to leverage key learnings and best practices, while also enabling EDITION to leverage the tools, reporting, and processes developed for Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International overall.
· Create EDITION digital dashboard and provide regular updates to stakeholders .
· Collaborate with internal Paid Search and SEO teams to maximize the performance of campaigns.
· Partner with internal teams that oversee Marriott owned assets (eMail, Marriott.com, Mobile, etc) to maximize opportunities for the brand.

· Work with agency and internal partners to deliver creative assets such as online marketing banners, social media assets, paid search ads, emails, landing pages, on-site promotional placements.
· Create streamlined information for internal reports/audits/analysis of digital marketing performance (including but not limited to Marriott.com, EDITION Website, Social media) and well as create compelling marketing and reporting presentations.
