Position Title: Sales Coordinator
Department: National Group Sales / Marriott Global Sales/Extended Stay
Wage Range: $12.75 - $21.70 (MRP-$16.74)
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Sales, National Group Sales/Extended Stay
Position Location: Omaha

Major Function
The Sales Coordinator’s function is to provide dedicated group and extended stay support to Account and Sales Managers by providing assistance for both internal & external customers in the group and extended stay markets. The primary responsibility of this position is to execute the merchandising of group and extended stay opportunities using Marriott's SFA technology and other Marriott information systems. Performs inventory search and negotiates and leverages customers’ needs acting as a liaison for National Group Sales, ExecuStay, Extended Stay, hotels, markets and customers.

This position requires contact with both internal and external customers including end user, intermediary, meeting planner, corporate staff, property managers, as well as the property sales departments and other hospitality industry leaders. Interact internally with associates at all GST, account levels.

Duties require managing daily business operations, handling incoming telephone calls and facilitating call communication, providing assistance as directed by individual Sales, Account and Department managers and other staff concerning job-related functions and completing projects as assigned in a timely manner. Responsibilities include the processing of opportunities, maintenance of accurate data and communication of information among all Managers and internal/external clients. Customer service skills are essential in assisting with the closure of potential business.

Responsibilities
· Work in the Sales Force Automation Systems (SFA) database or Goldmine Account management systems.
· Perform inventory search of hotel availability based on customer requests. Negotiate and leverage customer’s need, acting as a liaison for National Group Sales, hotels and customers.
· Secure most accurate match of Marriott product to the customer’s physical and financial needs.
· Match hotel need dates with customer’s needs – ensure an offer to each customer
· Processes all leads in a timely manner. Monitors, updates and communicates lead status to appropriate parties.
·Establish and maintain complete and up-to-date lead response information in SFA to ensure accurate reporting.
·Complete lead entry of customer opportunities as requested by manager.
· Provide coverage for Managers when needed, including assisting with customer needs, lead entry and any additional duties as requested.
* Maintains open communication with managers, properties, RSO’s, and markets as needed regarding lead status.
* Assists in closing on business to ensure team and departmental goals are met.
· Compose and update response grids/forms and customer communications whenever necessary.
· Complete other projects and reports as assigned.
· Run and organize necessary SFA and other data source reports as requested
· Serve as a key source of information and point of contact on behalf of the department. Responsible for addressing inquiries in a timely manner and/or channeling concerns/questions to the appropriate department team member.

High School diploma or equivalent
Associate Degree (AA) from 2 year college and/or two to three years of related experience or training
