Qualifications:

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Sr. Marketing Communications Manager with at least three year’s experience to become a key member within a professional, dynamic and creative hospitality team. The Marketing Communications Manager will be working in the Cluster of Dubai for a group of 8 hotels including the pre-opening of JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai and Marriott Healthcare City hotels.

You will benefit from a strong team environment, working alongside the Marketing Director, while your own creative flair and analysis skills will be fully employed to develop integrated Marketing Campaigns for all Dubai Marriott Hotels. You will be responsible for the supervision of brand consistency standards, the development and implementation of Hotel Marketing Plans respecting dedicated Hotel Marketing Budgets.

You will be the main point of contact for all Marketing related initiatives and will be constantly liaising with the Senior Stakeholders within each Hotel. You must have an excellent attention to detail and strong project management and communication skills as well as good knowledge of the Hospitality sector and previous professional experiences in Marketing Communications. Design and web based skills are an advantage.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the execution and implementation of advertising, promotions and collateral programs for the city within an international lodging region. Accountable for maintaining the integrity of the Hotels and Brands, he/she is responsible for all communications (verbal and non verbal) and marketing. Responsibilities also include the supervision of brand consistency standards within the Cluster and individual hotel marketing communications. The successful applicant will possess a strong ability to liaise across the whole Market organization and in particular with the senior stakeholders within each Hotel.

Candidate Profile:

Experience:
• A solid grounding in the Hotel or Leisure Industry
• 3 years of experience in a Sales & Marketing environment
• Strong understanding of Marriott brand principles & marketing standards
• Hotel and/or Travel Industry sales & marketing background.
• Fluent in written and verbal English

Technical Expertise:

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
1.Serve as the Cluster Marketing Communications lead and execute a Marketing strategy across participating Hotels within the Cluster:
• Advise Hotels on appropriate strategy, marketing priorities and tactics
• Work with the Marketing Director to set reasonable marketing goals for the participating Hotels, review progress and trouble shoot performance issues/Identify specific Hotel needs.
2.Recommend new Marketing Strategies and Initiatives to the Stakeholders in line with Hotel needs and Market Trends:
• Make business cases to Stakeholders to justify new features or initiatives that would be critical to serve and benefit the Dubai market (e.g. new partnerships, potential advertising activities, sponsorship opportunities, new suppliers etc.)
• Ensure all websites, content, collateral and tactics for all Hotels within the Cluster comply with Marketing Brand Standards and policies.
• Monitor for off strategy tactics and programs and take appropriate actions in collaboration with the relevant Stakeholders.
• Train and educate key Stakeholders on Marketing activities and trends
• Serve as the Cluster point person for Marketing strategy, cultivate relationships and communicate with Director of Sales and Marketing, GM’s, etc to raise their awareness, understanding and motivation to develop new Marketing initiatives and further enhance their property.
• Participate in regular, scheduled regional Marketing conference calls to review performance, share best practices and troubleshoot hot issues
• Develop other Dubai cluster Marketing communications and presentations as appropriate.
3. Ensure that all participating Hotels within the Cluster are fully represented on Marriott.com, its language global sites and third party websites by:
• Reviewing all presentation content (including photography and copy) for the Hotels and ensure regular content updates
• Guiding Hotels in developing Digital Marketing initiatives for F&B outlets, Spa, Weddings, Social Events & Banqueting, Corporate Sales where applicable
• Checking meta data and website/module performance providing tracking, analytics and reports.
4. Manage and optimize all Marriott Marketing Channels including Marriott.com, Marriott Rewards Loyalty Program and HWS:
• Work closely with Revenue Management and eCommerce to execute online marketing activities such as loading Marriott.com HWS deals, group offers and value dates, email marketing and affiliate marketing
• Co-ordinate execution of online marketing efforts through approved agencies/vendors
• Train and educate key Stakeholders on Marriott Marketing Channels and Programs.

5. Employ eMarketing strategies and tactics to drive revenues for Hotels:
• Use search engine optimization, paid search, email marketing and other on line marketing tactics to increase penetration with target customers
• Collaborate closely with Director of Field Marketing to execute and pull through online Brand marketing strategies for Cluster & beyond.

6. Creative Management:
• Supervise and train the Designer on board for the creation of fresh and engaging newsletter, advertisings, packages, partnership documents, hotel collaterals,etc. for all Hotels
• Ensure all collaterals designed are respecting the Brand guidelines and Brand Voice
• Make sure all artworks and pictures are available on Brandworks and new Brandworks guidelines are implemented
• Review and approve content, copy writing, image selection and printing costs
• Create ‘out of the box ideas’ while adhering to brand guidelines for implementation at all properties.
