**Qualifications**

The Vice President, BMSC Consulting Services, Americas is a key member of the BMSC Continent Consulting Services organization that provides business consultancy services and Sales & Marketing Operations support to the Americas Chief Sales & Marketing Officer \(CSMO\) and broader Continent leadership team\. The primary responsibility is to lead a portfolio of projects ranging from development of strategic roadmaps to oversight of consulting and project management efforts of complex programs\. This position will directly lead the team responsible for engaging Americas CSMO Leadership teams to identify, plan and locally execute brand, marketing, sales, eCommerce, and revenue management project initiatives that enable successful delivery against the strategic priorities of Marriott International\. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking skills, a proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, as well as a willingness to be tested on difficult projects and initiatives\. This position manages resources that support Americas BMSC\-related training, internal communications, and project governance\.

The BMSC Americas Consulting Services team works primarily on projects in the following areas:

+ Baseline assessment work to inform prioritization of transformation projects within and across Continents \(e\.g\., Brand Organization Baseline Assessment, Evaluation of Revenue Management, Sales, and Field Marketing organization effectiveness, etc\)\.
+ Growth strategies for MI s Americas continent team \(e\.g\., 3\-year plans; Organizational Integration\)\.
+ Organizational Infrastructure engagements partnering with BMSC HR leader HQ training team to assess and optimize BMSC organization, identify needs, develop and execute organizational initiatives and training programs to support the disciplines\.
+ Communications Change Management: manage and support internal communications, townhalls, offsites, meetings and conferences to train, education and shape the Americas\-wide BMSC culture and team\.
+ Consistent pull\-through of enterprise\-wide strategies within the Americas \(e\.g\., Global Distribution Strategy, Marriott Rewards Innovation\)\.
+ BMSC Projects and Initiatives: where needed, oversee project leaders managing cross functional projects and initiatives supporting top\-line revenue growth, transformation and innovation in the Americas \(e\.g\. Sales deployment, new brands, expansion of Marriott Digital Services, Digital empires innovation, BT Referral Fee Program, Sales Goal Setting Strategy\)\.
+ Americas Specific Priorities at the request and direction of the CSMO\.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to 1\) ensure BMSC team operates smoothly against the Americas CSMO vision and priorities 2\) develop and maintain and a high performing collaborative team culture with high associate engagement and 3\) leadership of key processes tools resources that support the Americas BMSC functions \(training, recognition, incentives, communication platforms, MBOs\)\.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Education and Experience**

+ 4\-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
+ 10 years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performanceExperience Preferred
+ Prior experience leading the planning and execution of strategic projects and initiatives in the Sales, Rev\. Mgt\., Marketing & Digital areas
+ Significant project and program leadership experience
+ Prior consulting experience focused on diagnosis and development of recommendations to solve complex business problems
+ Financial analysis or ability to breakdown the financial issues associated with business problems in complex organizations that leverage funding from various sources to resource getting work done\.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

_Project and Strategy Leadership_

Leads cross\-functional working teams comprised of senior discipline experts from Human Resources, Finance, other departments within BMSC Planning & Services, and Americas CSMO team leadership to:

+ Plan and implement Americas BMSC\-related initiatives with minimal oversight, working with Americas leaders to meet project objectives and goals on time and on budget
+ Support transformational projects working across functions and disciplines to meet objectives
+ Guide on\-going financial and business analysis support to Americas & BMSC leadership to support strategic decision making using the appropriate approaches, systems and resources\.
+ Deliver presentations related to the strategic roadmap development, project execution and management to senior management and other key stakeholders \(e\.g\., owners, associates, customers\)\.

_Leading a team of consulting and project resources_

+ Provide leadership direction on project engagements and orchestrates across initiatives to deliver results and strategic value to the Americas CSMO team
+ Prioritizes requests and work to manage the workload of team and ensure that the timely deliverable of projects can be achieved
+ Actively engage internal partners \(e\.g\. change management and communications, human resources, OFS\) to prepare content for communication materials as needed for deployment of BMSC initiatives\.
+ Builds business cases for additional resources, as appropriate, to support getting work done\.

_Strategy Execution_

Leads initiatives on behalf of the CSMO and team to drive change across the CSMO s organization\. Acts as a project leader and day\-to\-day project decision maker with the following responsibilities:

+ Accountable for delivering the results of the project
+ Provide content guidance to the project
+ Participate in review cycles at key milestones & provide go/no\-go decision
+ Sign off on deliverables
+ Actively participate in strategy sessions
+ Contribute to strategy development
+ Develop & drive implementation plan
+ Ensure appropriate sponsorship and resourcing

+ Ensure timely delivery against milestones
+ Serve as customer advocate by helping team resources understand target consumer needs in the local market _Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities_
+ Manage a team of Directors, Sr Manages, and/or Managers that supports Americas BMSC\-related project work and continuously improves team and job structures; ensures clear leadership accountabilities are in place\.
+ Manages team budget to ensure there is appropriate support infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the Americas
+ Hires, develops, and retains diverse talent that makes a strong, positive impact on the organization\.
+ Builds teams with the appropriate mix of talent and skills to drive innovation and performance\. Identifies talents of direct reports, and assists with their growth and development plans\.
+ Facilitates regular, ongoing communication in department \(e\.g\., staff meetings\)\.
