*JOB SUMMARY*

The Senior Director, Partnerships plans, executes, and assesses the effectiveness of Global and/or Portfolio partnerships, specifically focusing on the Travel, and Financial Services sectors. In this role, the Senior Director, Partnerships sets direction and goals for partnerships, and directs internal teams (e.g., continent, discipline teams) to help execute contracts as meets the business or discipline’s need. This role functions as a strategic business leader of the area, and continuously improves partnership programs, teams, and job structures to ensure clear leadership accountabilities are in place. This role partners with team members and stakeholders to develop and implement strategies and goals of the Buzz Marketing team, and of Global Marketing in general. The Senior Director, Partnerships also acts as the principal point of contact with all external agencies and internal stakeholder groups (e.g., Finance, Legal, Brand Management, Continents, etc.) on matters concerning Global or Portfolio partnerships. This role provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects; he/she thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new plans or programs.

*CANDIDATE PROFILE *

*Education and Experience Preferred*
* 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related
* 10 years of relevant professional experience in marketing or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
* Prior track record of “breakthrough” wins through exceptional buzz or partnership marketing

*CORE WORK ACTIVITIES *

*Buzz Marketing*

* Provides leadership for the development and management of all Global and Portfolio partnerships, with an emphasis on the Financial Services and Travel sectors.
* Identifies, builds and manages relationships with key executives at partner organizations to drive maximum value across the Portfolio.
* Leads and assists with negotiations with partners, working closely with legal and finance on business implications.
* Works closely with Brand, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Operations, IR, A&C, Development, Food and Beverage, eCommerce and Owner & Franchise Services to ensure successful partnership activation.
* Researches, identifies and initiates dialogue/partnerships with global business partners.
* Assists with the creation of strategic business plans, including defining partner value propositions and competitive strategies.
* Elevates awareness and effectively communicate the benefits and obligations of existing partnership agreements across the business.

* Promotes adherence to policies consistently, follows disciplinary procedures and documents items according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and supports the Peer Review Process.
* Conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Identifies talents of direct reports and their teams, and assists with their growth and development plans.
