JOB SUMMARY

The Multi Property Director of Engineering & Facilities provides functional Engineering & Facilities leadership and expertise regarding facilities management, sustainability, discipline technology platforms, capex planning / execution, health and safety and energy conservation for all managed Marriott Hotel brands within their assigned Multi Property hotels\. Reporting to the General Manager\(s\) of the properties with a dotted line to the Area Director of Engineering and Facilities this role supports and contributes to the success of the hotels developing strong owner / asset manager relationships\. Provides Multi Property leadership to maximize assets, drive guest satisfaction, support business performance and enhance the brands\. Additionally, he or she provides direction to the GM s and hotel based Engineering leaders to ensure effective delivery of results, execution of initiatives and to maximize talent in their hotels\. As a business partner to the GM s, the position provides an Engineering & Facilities perspective to help make optimal business decisions as well as helps sets overall direction to ensure that practices are aligned across both properties, and brand strategies\.\.

This leadership role has overall responsibility for managing and implementing the engineering strategy for their Multi Property Hotels\.It defines and presents opportunities for operational improvement, evaluates risks, works within area of expertise to provide effective solutions and implements systems and processes that leverage and support enterprise strategies to maximize guest satisfaction and engineering performance\.This individualworks in a multi\-site environment and balances the expectations of both properties, the brand, and the Engineering discipline\.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

**Education and Experience**

**5 years of hotel facilities management experience including a minimum of two different properties\.**

Minimum two years experience as Director of Engineering or comparable position\.

**In\-depth knowledge of all discipline technology platforms including Transcendent in order to comply with Engineering SOPs\.**

**In\-depth knowledge of MEP, Building Fabric and Life Safety Systems\.**

**Experience of hotel openings and conversions preferred\.**

Education or Professional Certification

College degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Construction preferred,or equivalent/related work experience

Member of a Facilities, M E or Construction professional body preferred

Leads initiatives to optimise the technology platforms \(i\.e\. Transcendent, RPM and Energy data management \) processes or talent of the organization to more effectively support the business strategy\.

Leads the execution of engineering responsibilities for the Multi Property hotels: engineering operational efficiency, facilities management \(i\.e\. asset protection through Transcendent, regulatory compliance, etc\.\), sustainability, reducing energy consumption and guest satisfaction\.

Ensures quality and consistency of engineering practices and facilitates rollouts of new initiatives\.

Ensure consistent reviews of the properties overseen and conducts regular tours and reports in a consistent format as agreed with the Area Director of Engineering and Facilities\. This will include that Transcendent and RPM is set up to a high quality and fully utilisied; review of POM, HLP and GSS performance with clear plans and actions; review of sustainability performance; capex management and drive compliance with centralized maintenance contracts\.

Provides solutions and high\-level technical consultation whilst directing and supporting activities of Hotel based Engineering Leaders relating to Asset Protection, CapEx, Property Improvement Plans, Performance Reporting, Regulatory Compliance, Energy Opportunities, Guest Satisfaction and Utilisation of Discipline Technology Platforms\.
