**JOB SUMMARY**

As part of the Business Partnership and Planning team for Global Operations, Brand and Sales, the Senior Director, Program Management for Operations and Guest Services will lead the strategy, planning and investment in technology capabilities and platforms that enable guest experience and services in operations at hotels worldwide\. This position will partner with Global Operations, Digital, and IT corporate and continent teams to align strategy and priorities, deliver programs and projects, and ensure the return on IT investments\. Marriott is an innovator in bringing digital technology into the guest experience with mobile check\-in/check\-out, guest services, and digital keys and continues to innovate with new thinking and capabilities around customer relationship management\. This role will provide the leadership for the Future of Guest Relations program, the operations components of Marriott s mobile/digital strategy and the enabling capabilities for food and beverage and point of sale\.

As a Senior Director, manages a team of two Program Directors and two Senior Business Systems Analysts and the relationship with business discipline lead\(s\) to plan technology investments, develop technology strategy/roadmaps, uncover solutions, inform demand management and address escalations\. Leads the business planning and modeling phases for proposed initiatives with an understanding of priorities and the abililty to clearly articulate IT capabilities\. Manages complex, cross\-functional initiatives that require significant coordination across business disciplines and IT\. Leads contract process for BPO/ASP contracts to drive compliance with IT standards and security requirements\.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Education and Experience**

**Required:**

+ 10 years experience in large, complex programs/projects that include
+ Managing relationships with business customers, IT organizations and external service providers
+ Managing teams
+ IT business case development
+ Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and drive direction/focus
+ 5 years experience developing and executing strategic IT plans and/or project portfolios
+ BS/BA or equivalent relevant experience\.

**Preferred** :

+ Advanced degree
+ Project Management Certification
+ Relevant discipline expertise \(e\.g\. Hospitality/travel, operations, entertainment and/or wifi experience\)
+ Proven experience in planning, budgeting, and analysis
+ Ability to effectively communicate
+ Experience with development of program and project standards in a sourced environment\.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others\.
+ Excellent analytical skills with complex problems/issues\.
+ Experience with business process re\-engineering\.

+ Provides thought leadership to business/discipline to align technology with business strategies

**Program Management**

+ Leads modeling and planning phases for new initiatives under consideration

+ Drives collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure Delivery to confirm proposed solutions are compatible with IT standards
+ Manages and is accountable for the development of thorough and accurate business requirements, validating that solutions will meet discipline needs prior to development\.
+ Manages and is accountable for business case development\. Partners with customer and IT Build teams to complete business cases by providing relevant IT information and monitoring its ability to meet all relevant IT standards\.
+ Aligns projects with technology roadmaps and technology enterprise architecture\.
+ Incorporates project plans, costs, schedules, and deliverables to meet business need and in support of the business case\.
+ Monitors project risk management and creates or identifies/directs mitigation plans for each risk\.

+ Collaborates with discipline partners to develop annual budgets
+ Partners with other IT groups \(Build, Run, Manage\-Enable\) to provide financial transparency to discipline partners
+ Manages technology roadmaps to guide solutions along a common path as well as retirement or migration of lesser\-used or expensive to maintain technologies\.
+ Aligns with Security and Privacy to validate that processes are followed to protect and secure customer and/or associate data
+ Engages with Vendor Relations to develop service agreements with external companies on behalf of the discipline
