YOKE DU YOUR

Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly. But when they lit a fire in the craft, it sank, proving once and for all that you can’t have your kayak and heat it, too.

ARTspiration

Artists or art that turns me on and feeds my muse! Like it or dislike it, what about this art inspires your own art or creativity?   This is a David Hockney digital landscape.

DESIGNspiration

Look around you. Design is everywhere! How can you incorporate the beauty that surrounds you into your art or craft?  Vintage or antique folk art boxes.  These are Norwegian.

PATCHWORK, BABY!

This quilt is awfully pretty. I believe it is called The Spring Quarter Quilt.   This is a quilt any beginner can make, and that any experienced quilter could make much more interesting by cutting and taking some risks (not that it needs it.) Anyway, take a look at the blog where I found the quilt, and then download the pattern so you can make your own version:

MUST HAVE

Yippee!  I’ll be DEAD before I have to sharpen these knives!

“The TB Groupe, one of France’s established knife makers, carries a history of five generations dedicated to the manufacturing knives. Their latest design, the FURTIF Evercut collection is the culmination of the company’s exploration of new materials and forms, a sharp edged stealth bomber of faceted geometry constructed using titanium carbide laser bonding to strengthen a blade of stainless steel to indefinite sharpness.

The blade’s durability is strengthened even further using machines to apply thousands of pounds per square inch (imagine carbon being pressed into a diamond), the knife exiting the process with a finish 300x stronger than a standard steel blade. All that pressure and care results in kitchen knives that can go 25 years between professional sharpening. That’s a lifetime of tomatoes and onions diced.”
