STEPHANIE DUNPHY
It’s All About Stephanie. . .
After two less-than-stellar attempts at home economics in 7th and 9th grades, Stephanie’s talented mom probably feared that the creative gene had skipped a generation. Stephanie preferred playing softball and running track.
Fast-forward to the early 1990s and Stephanie was married with two small children, living in Japan and needing Halloween costumes. She finally learned to sew and discovered a newfound love for quilting. She learned the sewing basics, and then took the first quilting class offered at the military base’s recreation center.
A decade later, Stephanie was living in Pickerington, Ohio; her kids were in college and she learned about Etsy and blogs from her daughter. With her daughter’s encouragement and help, she set up Loft Creations and started selling handmade items.
Stephanie’s style is an eclectic mix, and she’s a proud lover of buttons, polka dots, and all things tea. She’s lucky to have the support of her family and friends. Happiness to her is sipping tea and sewing with her dear dog, Abby, by her side. Through her sewing journey, Stephanie has learned that handmade is best!

Sam, Procrastination Takes Too Long…
Sam Bennett is the creator of http://www.TheOrganizedArtistCompany.com, dedicated to helping creative people get unstuck from whatever way they’re stuck, especially by helping them focus and move forward on their goals.
Originally from Chicago, Bennett is a writer, actor, teacher and creativity/productivity specialist who has counseled thousands of artists on their way to success. She is the author of the surprisingly popular book of poems, “By The Way, You Look Really Great Today,” and the daily inspirational book, “365 Reasons To Write.”
Still a working actor, Bennett started her career at the world-famous Second City Theatre (www.secondcity.com ) and moved to Los Angeles in 1994. LISA CONGDON
Listen to Lisa …
Artist and illustrator Lisa Congdon is best known for her colorful paintings and collages. Since 2007, she has been illustrating for clients including The Museum of Modern Art, Martha Stewart Living Magazine, Chronicle Books, The Land of Nod, The Obama Campaign and Simon & Schuster, among others. Lisa is also known for her intricate line drawings and pattern design and has licensed her work for fabric, kitchen linens, wallpaper and bedding. In addition to illustrating full time, Lisa maintains a thriving Etsy shop and writes a popular daily blog of her work, life and inspiration called Today is Going to be Awesome. She is the author of Whatever You Are, Be a Good One and Art, Inc., both set to be released by Chronicle Books in 2014. Lisa periodically shows her work in galleries around the country. In 2011, she had her first major solo show at Gallery Hijinks in San Francisco and was in her first museum show at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. She’s an avid cyclist and swimmer. She lives and works in Oakland, California.
