LOS ANGELES, LA—(Marketwired – Oct 5, 2015) – Julie Nimoy, the daughter of the late actor Leonard Nimoy, announced today that she is producing a new documentary film with her husband David Knight of Health Point Productions on the subject of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

Leonard Nimoy, who was best known as the character Spock in the TV and movie series “Star Trek,” died February 27, 2015 from complications associated with COPD. Diagnosed in 2013, Leonard took to social and traditional media to bring this common, but often under–diagnosed disease, to light. In his last interviews and through Twitter, he reached out to educate his fans about his condition and encouraged people to quit smoking.
COPD: Highly Illogical will be narrated by our favorite member of the Q Continuum John De Lancie. The film will showcase the latest advances in the fight against Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, using state–of–the–art computer–generated imagery that promises to show the audience a spectacular view from inside the body.
