FREDERICKSBURG, VA—(Marketwired – December 31, 2015) – Fredericksburg dental practice has added a digital scanner and 3–D imaging to diagnose and treat serious dental problems.

Drs. Lloyd F. Moss Jr. and Lloyd F. Moss III recently added the two technologies — the Planmeca ProMax 3D Mid CBCT and Planmeca PlanScan digital scanner — into the office on Dec. 18. The two machines make it possible for the dentists to treat advanced restorative dental and orthodontic problems, assist in the evaluation of endodontic (root canals) and dental implant treatment, diagnose airway limitations related to snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, all while increasing patient comfort.

“Both machines are leaders in their respective fields for producing excellent diagnostic images that will allow us to better take care of our patients,” said Dr. Lloyd Moss III.

The ProMax's 3–D imaging capabilities will assist the dentists in diagnosing and setting up advanced treatment plans for a variety of dental issues, including sleep apnea problems and dental implant procedures.

The PlanScan is a digital scanner that is used chairside and eliminates the need for ill–tasting, goopy impressions. By taking digital impressions, Drs. Lloyd can set up Invisalign treatment or prepare permanent crowns with more accuracy.

“These technologies will allow us to better take care of our patients by helping us diagnose and treat existing conditions as well as make it easier on the patient while they are in the dental chair,” said Dr. Lloyd Moss III. “We are excited to stay on the cutting edge of dental technology and continue with our commitment to providing our patients with state–of–the–art dental care.”
