Drs. Lloyd F. Moss Jr. and Lloyd F. Moss III recently added the two technologies — the Planmeca ProMax 3D Mid CBCT and Planmeca PlanScan digital scanner — into the office on Dec. 18. The two machines make it possible for the dentists to treat advanced restorative dental and orthodontic problems, assist in the evaluation of endodontic (root canals) and dental implant treatment, diagnose airway limitations related to snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, all while increasing patient comfort.

The PlanScan is a digital scanner that is used chairside and eliminates the need for ill–tasting, goopy impressions. By taking digital impressions, Drs. Lloyd can set up Invisalign treatment or prepare permanent crowns with more accuracy.

He has completed continuing education courses from the most prestigious institutions in the world, including the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the Nash Institute for Dental Learning, Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the L.D. Dr. Lloyd F. Moss III earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he also received his Post Baccalaureate Health Sciences Certificate.
