Summer is on the way to Knutsford!
What an incredible day we have planned for you, with over 130 of the very finest artisan traders showcasing on Princess Street Knutsford it is not surprising that this event has established itself as one of the flagship markets in the North.
There is a superb selection of amazing and tantalising foods, arts, design, vintage, drinks and street food, performance, and music.
The firm favourites are back along with some NEW inspiring creatives and fabulous foodies.
There will be live music performances all day from the wonderful Loose Change buskers. Over the last few years these talented chaps and gals have raised nearly £179,000 for Cancer Research and they really know how to get the crowd going!
We are delighted this month to be showcasing the fabulous Manchester band the Yellhounds on Silk Mill Street from 12 noon. The Yellhounds are a rock and roll band with a difference. You do not want to be missing their Knutsford debut this Sunday! Perhaps these below reviews will awaken your musical senses.....
The Yellhounds continue to produce some of Manchester’s most endearing country rock. It’s the slightly broken, but confident vocals and the band’s superb sense of dynamics that makes The Yellhounds a little more special.
Parker Knoll: Music Dash
This is a band who clearly love what they do, the music that they write, and their performances on the stage. It's this obvious passion, raw talent and belief for what they do that makes them so watchable as a group performing.
After the success of last months Finders Keepers Vintage area we are thrilled to be expanding this area on Regents street. Pop down and have a rummage in the Vintage and object d'art stalls. Think grandma's attic.. There are treasures to be discovered in Knutsford this weekend...
This Sunday we are very excited to be showcasing the talented northern artist Stephen Campbell. Stephen is one of the new wave of exciting new artists currently working in Manchester.
He makes his own paints from high quality pigments, oils resins and waxes. He never paints from photographs.
He paints and draws life as he sees it, usually painting on location and then returning to the studio to build up layers of various different glazes using a combination of materials.
His subject matter changes regularly. A number of Stephens paintings feature well known locations in Manchester often using distorted perspectives to give the paintings a fresh, new feel. It is an honour to have him debuting with us at Knutsford this Sunday.
At the makers market we believe in recreating a time when the high street was King. The days when people interacted with a specialist and had an outlet for enterprise and creativity. So pop down and meet our makers this Sunday!
There will also be balloon modellers and face painters for our little market visitors!
To fully enjoy the flavours and tastes of our award winning food producers. To smell the freshly cooked street food from the fire pits and wood fired pizza ovens. To see the vibrant colours of our creative and inspiring artists. To rummage in the vintage and object d'art. To touch the flowers and the fresh herbs from our talented garden sellers. To hear the music from local bands and performers and to dance amongst it all on Princess Street. Pop down to Knutsford on Sunday for this very exciting free family day out.
You won't be disappointed!
