Game Recap vs. the Brewers:
The Mariners dropped a 9-7 game to the Brewers in Cactus League play [Box Score]. After entering the day having allowed only 12 home runs in 22 spring games, the Brewers hit 5 home runs, including 4 off starter Blake Beavan. Brad Miller continued his torrid streak at the plate going 3-for-4 with 2 triples and a walk, and is batting .447 (17×38) with 1 doubles, 4 triples, 4 home runs, 13 runs scored and 8 RBI in 13 games. Peoria Complex Tour:
The new clubhouse and baseball operations facility in Peoria, Ariz., is a little over a month old, and has been a great addition to the Mariners family. The state-of-the-art clubhouse, training and rehabilitation facilities has drawn rave reviews from players and visitors alike. Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik gave a video tour you can check out below:
Cano Ranks as Top Second Baseman:
ESPN formed a panel of MLB writers, analysts and contributors to rank the top 100, and to start with, unveiled top 10 lists for every position. The top 100 will be announced on March 27 with a special edition of Baseball Tonight. Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano checked in as the top second baseman in their rankings.

Cactus League Report:
The Cactus League report will air tonight on 710 ESPN from 7-8 pm on 710 ESPN Seattle and will include interviews with James Paxton, Nick Franklin, Dominic Leone, Willie Bloomquist and Fox Sports reporter Ken Rosenthal. Today’s game vs. the Brewers will air on a delay starting at 8 pm following the Cactus League Report.
Big Radio Day:
The Mariners were well-represented on sports radio in Seattle today. Dustin Ackley joined Mitch in the Morning on KJR 950 AM this morning. Nick Franklin and Jack Zduriencik were guests of Bob & Groz on 710 ESPN Seattle. Logan Morrison is scheduled to join Brock & Danny tomorrow morning on 710 ESPN Seattle. It was a busy day for birthdays in Mariners camp today. Senior Director of Baseball Information Tim Hevly, video coordinator Jimmy Hartley and Special Projects International Coordinator Ted Heid all celebrated birthday’s today.
Walker Throws Again:
Taijuan Walker threw another bullpen this morning, and again felt great. Walker said he threw 40 pitches, facing what he called “imaginary hitters”, including 10 curveballs. Walker said it was the best he has felt on a mound so far and is eager to get into game action. Seattle Times beat writer Ryan Divish posted some video on his blog of Taijuan throwing this morning.

Camp Guests:
Brad Adam of ROOT SPORTS enjoyed his first full day in camp, interviewing players and showing off his golf swing. Brad was even nice enough to buy a round of milkshakes for the Baseball Information staff. Tracy Ringolsby of MLB.com spent the morning in camp and caught up with Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik. A host of Milwaukee reporters stopped by the morning workout to catch up with former Brewer Corey Hart. Brewers PR guru Mike Vassallo also stopped by to say hi to former Brewer (and talk Star Wars) with Randy Wolf.
The Ball Was Flying:
The Mariners and Brewers combined for 7 home runs in today’s game. Kyle Seager and Mike Zunino each hit their first spring home runs, bringing the Mariners Cactus League total to 22.
Baseball America Top Rookies to Watch:
Baseball America published a story this morning with 20 rookies to watch for during the 2014 season. On the list were a pair of Mariners, with RHP Taijuan Walker checking in at No. 12 and LHP James Paxton at No. 19.
What’s on Tap:
The Mariners (14-6-3) return to Cactus League tomorrow afternoon vs. the Chicago Cubs in Mesa. The Mariners will be making their first visit to Cubs Park on the Mesa/Tempe border. RHP Erasmo Ramirez (2-0, 1.42) is scheduled to make his fifth spring appearance (4th start) against Cubs Opening Day starter RHP Jeff Samardzija (0-0, 6.39). RHP Felix Hernandez will start in a minor league game vs. the Brewers in Peoria.
