Miley’s Bangerz tour looks revealed

Not only will the ‘Wrecking Ball’ star be kitted out by designer Marc Jacobs for her upcoming Bangerz tour, but fashion icon Roberto Cavalli will also be dressing the controversial singer. Cavalli has, in fact, just released six sketches of his costumes designed for the tour. MC can reveal there will be plenty of sparkle and naturally (knowing Cyrus) lots of bare skin on display. Yet, many have commented that the outfits are a lot less flamboyant than expected.

Check out her looks here and let us know what you think.

Salvadorian nun gives birth in Italy

On Friday, a 31-year-old nun was rushed from a convent in Campomoro to a hospital in Rieti, Italy, after what she describes as ‘very bad stomach cramps’. However, the situation was much more serious than she could ever have expected, as the nun ended up giving birth to a healthy baby boy.

Leading Italian news agency ANSA quoted her as saying, ‘I did not know I was pregnant. I only felt a stomach pain.’ She has apparently named her son Francesco, after Pope Francis.

All the other nuns from her convent were apparently ‘very surprised’ by the news. We bet they were!

The 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG)

Awards season really is our favourite time of the year. On Friday, we saw the SAG Awards roll into Hollywood with everyone talking about Kerry Washington, who blew viewers away as she arrived donning a Prada crop top that showed off her baby bump.

What do you think of this look? Let us know.

Will un-retouched campaigns become a full-blown trend?

A lingerie brand for young women owned by American Eagle, Aerie, has launched a refreshing new ad campaign, dubbing #Aeriereal. The brand did not tweak or airbrush any of the models’ so-called ‘flaws’, leaving the pictures exactly as they were shot.

‘We left everything. We left beauty marks, we left tattoos, what you see is really what you get with our campaign,’ said Aerie’s style and fitness expert Jenny Altman. ‘It’s a selling point because our customers represent this great demographic and they don’t really get to see what girls their age really look like.’

We really hope this trend will be catching on. It seems that each time a brand launches such a campaign, or when a celebrity goes au natural, they are applauded. So, it seems, if you want attention? Go bare.

Cyril Ramaphosa heads to Australia in an attempt to gain voters

The ANC’s Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa, has led a delegation to Perth, Australia, in an attempt to win over South African voters, estimated at 80 000, now living in Australia.

‘The ANC is a non-racial organization and obviously we will not leave out any voters that are likely to vote for us,’ African National Congress international relations subcommittee head and deputy minister in the presidency, Obed Bapela, told The Sunday Times. ‘So we will be targeting Australia because of the number of South Africans that are there.’

Ramaphosa has said that the South Africans living in Australia that left about 20 years ago did so mainly because of the rise in violent crime. Now, they apparently wish to reconnect with South Africa. Time will tell.
