The strangest things can turn people on. A little while ago, we told you about monster porn – where people are turned by stories that involve sex with monsters like ogres and Big Foot. And now we’ve discovered dinner porn. Oh boy.

The trend known as mok-bang – also known as ‘gastronomic voyeurism’ – is a combination of the Korean words for ‘broadcasting’ and ‘eating’. A South Korean woman known as Park Seo-yeon or The Diva, makes a variety of dishes, then sits down in front of her webcam to eat them. Her growing online audience pays her up to $9 000 (over R90 000) a month for doing so. She’s fully clothed and there’s no sex involved – just Park and her plate of food. People tune into watch ‘the show’ and chat to her while she’s eating.



Park also receives countless virtual gifts, which can be exchanged for money, from her viewers – allowing her to quit her day job and she’s now doing this full time. She’s also put on roughly nine kilograms and spends nearly half her salary on ingredients for her elaborate, excessive suppers,
