Hirsch’s in Milnerton recently hosted COE Margaret Hirsch and Mr South Africa 2016 Finalist JP Robberts in a celebrity cooking class.
In celebration of family traditions, nostalgic memories and of course Women’s Month 2016, Margaret cooked, and JP Robberts learnt how to cook, two beautiful 3 course meals in Hirsch’s Homestore in Milnerton. With Cape Town West Coast local community Radio station OneFM 94.0 broadcasting live from the store and a live feed to Margaret Hirsch’s Facebook Page, and the audience enjoyed the taste-plates from each dish.
The recipes were from the Hirsch’s family cookbooks, the meals were produced in 1,2 hours by different appliances stocked at Hirsch’s and included something for everyone. Basil and Mozzerella Ciabata (Oven toasted by Defy Multifunction Gas/Electric Oven), Butternut Soup (Defy Pressure Cooker) lentil bobotie and Roast with Vegetables (Defy Multifunction Gas/Electric Oven) fudge (LG Solodom Microwave) and brownies (Phillips Air Fryer). As a grand finale dish, Margaret whipped up her Strawberry Soufflé in under 5 minutes.
